Tyler is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a Certified Sports Performance Coach (SPC) through USA Weighlifting (USAW). He received his degree in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Exercise Nutrition from Humboldt State University and will soon be returning to school to get his Masters in Nutrition.

Tyler interned for three months with Eric Cressey and Tony Gentilcore at Cressey Performance in Massachusetts. At Cressey Performance he worked 50 hours a week coaching strength training, power, sprinting, jumping, corrective exercise, soft tissue work, and dynamic mobility. He worked with many professional athletes, hundreds of college and high school athletes, as well as general clients and those working to look, feel, and perform better. From his experience at CP and his own sport training, Tyler constructed a nutrition system that delivers exceptional improvements in performance, body composition, health, and vitality.

At Humboldt State University, Tyler competed in the Track & Field Decathlon which consisted of a variety of sprinting, jumping, throwing, and hurdling events. His training included weight lifting, power development, sprinting, jumping, agility, corrective exercise, and soft tissue work. During this time he also had great results programming nutrition for HSU Track athletes and Softball athletes.

Tyler writes for his website and  contributes articles to a variety of related health and fitness sites, as well as teaching nutrition and kinesiology workshops across the country.
